1. Core Values and Professional Conduct

At Sugarland Petroleum, we operate on the principles of integrity, safety, and operational excellence.

  • Code of Ethics: Employees are expected to act in the best interest of Sugarland Petroleum at all times. Conflicts of interest, such as secondary employment with competitors or accepting substantial gifts from vendors, are prohibited.
  • Harassment & Discrimination: Sugarland Petroleum maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding harassment or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, age, disability, or veteran status.
  • Professionalism: While we value a collaborative atmosphere, employees must maintain a professional demeanour, especially when representing SLP at refineries, distribution hubs, or client sites.

2. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)

Given the nature of petroleum distribution and logistics, safety is our primary directive.

  • Zero-Incident Goal: All employees are responsible for maintaining a safe work environment. Any “near miss” or safety hazard must be reported immediately to the HSE Officer.
  • Drug and Alcohol Policy: Due to the high-risk nature of fuel handling and transportation, SLP Fuels maintains a strictly drug-free workplace. Random testing may be conducted in compliance with local laws.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Employees visiting operational sites are required to wear mandated PPE, including steel-toed boots, high-visibility vests, and hard hats.

3. Operational Policies

  • Work Hours: Standard office hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, due to the 24/7 nature of the fuel industry, certain roles may require on-call availability or shift rotations.
  • Confidentiality: Employees will have access to proprietary logistics data, pricing structures, and client lists. This information is strictly confidential and protected by Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).

4. Communication and Technology

  • Authorised Use: Company hardware (laptops, tablets) and software are for business purposes only.
  • Cybersecurity: Employees must complete quarterly cybersecurity training to protect SLP Fuels from phishing and data breaches that could compromise fuel supply chains.

Employee Acknowledgment

All employees must sign an acknowledgement form stating they have read, understood, and agree to abide by the Sugarland Petroleum Workplace Policy.
